The Good Life is able to provide great bicycle education and a welcoming community space only with the help of our volunteers. Volunteers are needed to provide great programming to our Calgary community. Volunteers gain valuble organisational and mechanical skills for employment, for life and for fun! No mechanical experience required, in fact, many Calgarians donate their time to the Good Life in order to learn valuable mechanical skills.
Volunteer tasks include: Shop Upkeep Bike Repair and Maintenance Stripping Bikes Administration and more!
To volunteer, come down to the Good Life and tell the Greaser on duty you would like to volunteer. Sign up to become a member and the Greaser will set you up with whatever tasks are most needed for the day. Your volunteer hours will be tracked.
If you are under 18 years old, please come sign up with a guardian. For at least the first few volunteer sessions, we ask that you come in together. We might even put mom or dad to work!
The Good Life also needs volunteers outside the Shop.
Essential volunteer tasks include: Recycling: The GL desperately needs volunteers with trucks or other transportation to perform metal recycling runs, clearing the Shop of unusable materials. Building and painting work benches, shelves, storage spaces Marketing and promotion Web design Fundraising and much much more! Please contact info(at)
to contribute to this community in these ways.
